Norfolk County Property Tax Sale

Norfolk County Tax Sale Set for November 5, 2025

Norfolk County will be holding a Tax Sale by Public Tender on November 5, 2025, for properties with unpaid taxes that have been in arrears for two years or more.

These properties may sell for less than market value since the County only needs to recover the taxes, interest, and costs owed. Anyone interested in bidding must submit a sealed tender using Form 7 along with a 20% deposit by 3:00 p.m. on November 5 at the Robinson Administration Building, 185 Robinson Street, Simcoe.

Winning bidders will have 14 days to pay the remaining balance, plus HST, land transfer tax, and any accumulated taxes. Properties are sold as-is, and vacant possession isn’t guaranteed.

If a property sells for more than the taxes owed, any extra funds are held by the Superior Court of Justice, where former owners or creditors may apply to claim them.

Information packages with property details, photos and bidding details are available at the Norfolk County Website.
